she's funny

Solei-isms for the day:

I'm singing a song ...

Solei: Mommy - STOP SINGING!!!

Me: You do not tell someone to stop making music! People can sing and sing all day long! *continuing singing*

she thinks deeply for a way out of this rule... then, the lightbulb goes off:

Solei: Mommy - FREEZE!

grrrrrr.....

then tonight, we were lazy and headed to Wendy's for dinner. We didn't tell HER that's where we were going, but the second we walked in the front door, she realized where we were and ran to the counter, stood on her tip-toes and shouted to the cashier:

"I need french fries please!!!"

We, including the entire Wendy's staff, just laughed our brains out. She continued:

"And chicken and chocolate!"

she paused... looked up at the lady and said with huge puppy-dog eyes:

"I need money."

  1. How cute and at the same time how sad. It reminds me of the absolutely depressing story mom would read us about the little jack rabbit that couldn't get inside the McDonalds.

  2. Chocolate!!! We've got a real woman here!

Today I was telling Jared that I wished that I could have a conversation with Eli. I am starting to realize that that has its own set of challenges. That girl is pretty cleaver.

  4. Love it! Andrew's always telling me to not sing, yet he does it ALL DAY LONG! Some days, he sings instead of talks.CRAZY! Sure sounds like Solei knows what she wants. I love kids

  5. Our son tells us not to sing all the time. It's an attempt at controling their environment at this age, not a critique of your vocals--thank goodness. I couldn't take that from my three-year-old.
