No more boss...

Sorry these aren’t as fun as they could be…

So – my boss was fired today. As if my job weren’t insane enough. Starting today I report directly to the CEO. Our company is not doing well, even taking into account the current situation. Our CEO decided change in our execution was not coming fast enough.

I’ve only had a few bosses that I really really liked. This is one of them. I’m a little speechless. I’m waiting for a week or so to see what happens.

And I got another e.mail from Apple today telling me to keep them in mind if anything changes...

  1. Well that Apple comment was quite a coincident. It's almost like they know what is going on...

  2. Dang, I don't envy that kind of anxiety one bit.

  4. Wait, I thought your boss was the moron and the CEO was the giy who said you could have a raise? Am I confus-ed?

  5. Texas may not be so bad after all. At least you have a fall back if things at work get too ugly. Of course, if you are interested in Switzerland, Brian's office here is way, way understaffed. Do you have any accounting experience?

  6. I think that accounting is the one thing that I am actually incapable of doing in life.

I've got an awesome background in Supply Chain Management. Do they need anyone with that experience??

  7. Oh - and this is the boss that I actually like. We hired him in February. He's one of the best bosses I've had - the kind you want to follow for the rest of your career...

Hope he didn't mean that literally....
