"Mamee? Dis Jesus."
I stared at Jared in shock- "Did YOU tell her who this was?"
"Nope." Do you know what this means? This means she listens to me!!! (oh, and also forthcoming is a video of her counting to 10. GENIUS.)
So today, I took her to the LDS bookstore to get a picture of Christ for her bedroom. She really responds to them, and I figure with all the negative images she's getting in the world, she needs as many positive ones as she can get.
Right as we walked in she smiled and pointed at a picture and said "Temple!" Wow. So I went up to a picture of Christ and asked her who it was. "Jesus!" An another - "Jesus!" She recognized every image of his sweet presence. I considered buying a poster of the temple, but I thought about it and I thought it might be nice for her to see a picture of the temple in her room with her in it, so we headed down the street and I snapped pictures while Solei ran around the temple grounds laughing and shouting "Temple!"... and also "Truck!" There's construction across the street and I had to keep her from running to them. In between the wrangling, I got some good pictures that I think are poster worthy. Tell me which one you would pick? (I'm leaning towards #5)
#1.
#5.
So I like #5, but I also really like that she's pointing to the temple in #4. VERY CUTE, and yes, your child is a genius! You are my inspiration! I only hope I can teach my kid as well as you!
ReplyDeleteI would go with #5 too. That is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWell, I like #5 and #1. I like that Solei is close up and looking so happy with the temple in the background. She is such a cutie pie!
ReplyDelete#5! She looks so happy! I love that she reckognizes (sp) Jesus!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with 2 or 4, because she's headed towards the temple. It's got some nice symbolism to it. Of course, they're all cute.
ReplyDeleteWhen my brother was not quite two, we went to the San Diego temple open house, and as we walked through, he would point to the paintings of Christ and say, "Jesus!" It's amazing, really.
I like number 1, but 5 is fantabulous as well. Dang, she is so cute! I hope that fun was had by all on this photo shoot, cause it sure looks like it...
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email to your hotmail account with some suggestions!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that "Brian" that just posted was actually GABBY, since my hubby was logged on. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI like the #1 the best... You are such a great Mom! You're doing a wonderful job of teaching that girly of yours! My son plays hide-and-seek and counts "two, two, two, two, two"... "Come!!!"
ReplyDeleteMy votes go for 2 and 4... I love that she's looking at the temple with her arm outstretched in 4, and climbing the steps in 2... she brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious, genius baby you have there!
And who says this temple isn't photogenic?
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute idea Reva. You have a wonderchild on your hands! She is so smart and too cute in this pics.
ReplyDeleteI agree, #5 for her room, but I also LOVE #4, it's so precious seeing her pointto the temple, so maybe that one for you?
ReplyDeleteLove #5, but #4 and #1 are reat. Maybe do a trifecta thing for her room?
