Back Yard

Our back yard was just as bad a the rest of the house when we purchased it. Solei LOVES being outside so we really wanted to make the backyard somewhere she could play. A few weeks ago we borrowed a tiller, bought some grass seed and fertilizer and went to work.

Here are the results! A patch of GRASS!!!

Here is Solei with Daddy (and his new specs).

Mommy joined in the fun and we got this great little picture of our family.

Here's Solei and Daddy closing up the vent so that she couldn't put anything down it...

And finally! Here is the smartest 18 month-old baby ever. While we are a little biased, she is amazing!

  1. Wow, that backyard looks fantastic. I remember when it was just a bunch of weeds, and it doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Now it is a thing of beauty. Great job!

We had grass once, but The Jungle ate it...

  5. Solei is seriously the cutest kid ever! I hope I have a girl even half as cute! And her knowledge just lets me know that I can endure all the ridicule I get for singing ABC's and counting songs with my 5 month old. Never to early to learn! Of course, it helps when your child is a certifiable genius!

    the kid's smart.
you might even say she's a genius.
but that grass is truly an accomplishment worthy of awe.

way to go guys, you are officially the most successful people i know!

    multi-faceted, you might say...

  7. Way to go on the back yard! It's great to have a patch of grass to play in. I think your little one is a Smarty Patarty! She talks more than my almost 2 year old! Of course I believe he's got the dreaded 'Second Child Syndrome' - My daughter was talking in sentences at 18 months, but I've heard that boys are slower at that stuff anyway! HA ha ha! You are adorable in that video too!
