SO, first step to trying to get my life back to normal is getting back to teaching. I made a website today to advertise and make my name stand out when I post on different sites. It's pretty basic, and a work in progress. I'd appreciate any advice you can give me, internet world!
Merci much!
Reva, I love it! You have so many talents! It looks so classy. I also like the menu on the rt side. It is different. The only suggestion I can think of has to do with the policies page. Actually it isn't a suggestion. I just want to make sure that I am reading it correctly. If I were a parent who has never had lessons for my child in anything, this is how I would read the missed lessons part. (I qualify as being completely clueless about paying for lessons for anything.) Am I right?
ReplyDeleteIf I miss a lesson (and don't notify you), I have to pay, but can make one up that semester (but only one lesson that semester), and if I call 24 hours in advance I don't have to pay for the lesson I missed?
Actually that was me above. I guess Danny was signed in and I didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun! Wanna hear something kind of funny? My husband plays violin and at one point was quite good at it (1st chair in whichever group he was with) and yet I hadn't ever heard him play before yesterday. We've been married a year and not once did he pick up the violin. what a shame. He was showing my brother(who plays the guitar) the violin...i was swooning. Make sure Solei starts in on it early!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very nice site! It's clean, has a few cool pictures, and offers concise information. I have two suggestions: one, I would probably change the placement of Policies and Contact (you want usually to have the contact info after the more important info); and two, the wording of the "Practicing" section under policies seems a little wordy and redundant. I might also include somehwere what you accept for payment (cash, check, paypal) and when payment is due. Oh, and I noticed that you have a small map from Yahoo maps, which I think is copyrighted, though I might be wrong there. You could always be safe and just make a quick gif or jpg with a simple map. Just something to check on.
