Just When You Think Things Couldn't Get Any Stranger

Just a quick note.

Our home was supposed to close at 9am on Monday. My mother was standing in for us at the closing. Something told me to call her. SO, I got on Skype and called her Cell Phone (Isn't technology amazing??). Well, it turns out that there was a huge problem with the sale. The buyer had tried to back out the night before - apparently he had cold feet. Well, the next morning he showed up and promptly announced that he didn't have sufficient funds to make the purchase. He had racked up $ on his credit card that he had to pay off and claimed that in addition to that he wasn't told that he had to bring a little more than $4K to the closing. Well, that was the last straw. We had already donated a piano, washer and dryer, and a large amount toward the closing costs. That was the last straw. So, after all that work our house did not close after all.

This makes us even more unsure about things. Before we had the whole world open to us, now we have a house we need to do something with, again. Maybe we need to move back...

Oh sad!! I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out...but I can't lie. The thought of you guys moving back to the ATL makes me really excited...but that's on a purely selfish note.

Stupid real estate industry being so unreliable sometimes. If I can do anything, let me know!! Otherwise, I'll be thinking of ya...

Lets just all pray that things work out the way they are supposed to... We are still trying to even find a buyer on our home in Idaho. Good luck figuring it all out!
