For your viewing pleasure, Jared found me some pictures of Jaguariuna, the town we'll be living in. It's quite quaint and small, and it seems a heck of a lot easier to drive in than Campinas - the bigger city we're staying in now. Cross your fingers that the house rental things come through soon - I don't know how much more room service food I can handle!!

Hm, I wanted to post this on your other blog, but it wouldn't let me... So, here it goes: Oh Reva, I'm so glad it sounds like you're making it. I can understand the eating qualms. When everything changes around you it's hard to eat to begin with, but if the food' weird too--that's a bit much for us not-so-fantastic eaters... You have to discover the one food you can always take some of, like yoghurt, or fruit, or crackers, or corn chips or something that is light and easy on your stomach. Anyway--there goes my soapbox ;o)
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to hear how the meeting with those folks went and if you think they'll be friends. Always remember--everyone thinks you're cute when you have an accent and can hardly communicate. While that's really infuriating sometimes, they do love you instantly for botching it. If they aren't patient enough to listen, just show them that you are serious about wanting to get it out.
Anyway, keeping you in my prayers.
Love, Yvonne
